Background
Vi was one of the potentials activated during the Buffy series finale. Very little was revealed on the show about her personal backstory, but she was the most timid of the group until she got her powers.
Then she kicked ass.
Where Canon and Vi go separate ways
After "Chosen," Vi's parents tracked her down in Cleveland and decided to send her to boarding school in hopes of bringing her back to normal life.
Turned out they picked the wrong school.
