What
The Pippi Longstocking series of children's books were written by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. The first book, named for the lead character, was first available in 1944. The Swedish Television series was produced in the late 60's and early 70's, it was during this time that the shows were dubbed in English and edited together into movies for release in the US. In the late 90's a Cartoon television series was produced in Canada.
There was also a Russian movie produced in 1982. (The current Pippi!mun has not seen it. But would like to.)
And an American live action movie in 1988. (The mun has not seen this one either. And has no wish to.)

There is no Fandom version of Pippi Longstocking's world (Here after called "Pippiverse"). Or, at least, it has not been visited IC(yet).
Pippi has, does, and will talk about where she's from. (And at great length if you let her.) So here are some things that have been discussed, or are likely to be discussed.
Places of Pippiverse
- Sweden - Pippi claims her family is from Sweden and that she is Swedish. She speaks the language fluently... Though she sounds very different from the Swedish Chef. However, nobody has ever outwardly questioned the nationality of either.
- Vimmerby - A village in Sweden where Pippi has lived for several years between getting separated from her Papa and coming to Fandom. In the REAL Sweden, the mun is fairly sure that Vimmerby is rather far inland. In Pippiverse however, it is on the coast and has at least a small harbor. The village is never actually named in canon to the best of the mun's knowlage. Pippi's "Hometown" is often listed as Vimmerby by fans because it apparently is where Astrid Lindgren lived when she wrote the books.
- Kurrakurradutt Island
- That Island Tommy, Annika, and Me Were Stranded On That One Time
- Port O'Pelluse
- Monie Ackaya Island
- Tukka Tukka Land
- The South Seas
- The Hawk
- Villa Villekulla - Also known as "The Big House". This is the house Pippi's father either purchased or built in Vimmerby before Pippi was born. It is often depicted as a large victorian style home In conversations with other people in Fandom Pippi has said that "Villa Villekulla" translates roughly as "Our Home Which We Wanted To Build On A Hill"... When asked if Villa Villekulla is on a a hill Pippi will explain that it is not, but Papa wanted it to be. The house is crammed full of nifty things purchased by Pippi and her Papa. There are ghosts and goblins living in the attic, allegedly. The "Lemonade Tree" grows in the front yard.
