Home & Family

Place of Birth: Blue Cove, Delaware
Date of Birth: 5 January 1989
Mother: Catherine Parker (deceased, 13 April 1999)
Father: Mr. Parker, (54, CEO of the Centre)
Siblings: none (Angelo is her fraternal twin, but this is not publically known)

On April 13, 1999, Parker's mother Catherine Parker was murdered at the Centre by an unknown gunman. Parker found the body, and was taken to Jarod's simulation lab, hysterical and traumatized, directly after the incident. The death was passed off as a suicide, and until March 2006, Parker also believed this to be true. Parker's father is the CEO of the Centre, a corporation and think tank which designs weapons, cutting edge technology, and houses the Pretender project. Using the genius of isolated 'Pretenders', the Centre contracts out simulations of disaster and crisis scenarios for profit, keeping the children in question virtual prisoners at the Centre's main complex in Blue Cove.

Education

Elementary School

Parker was mostly tutored by private teachers until she was in her early teens. She has known Jarod since she was nine, and was introduced to him at the Centre in Blue Cove, Delaware, as part of an experiment in October 1998. They secretly became friends over the next six months as Parker sneaked in to see him at his simulation lab on several occasions. She and Jarod befriended Angelo within a month of her mother's death, and have been friends with him ever since.

St. Christina's Convent, Rome, Italy - 2004

Parker was sent to St. Christina's Convent in Fall 2004, after a summer in Tokyo and a six-month stint beginning in late 2003 prior to that, in an as-yet unnamed boarding school somewhere on the U.S. east coast. Due to these trips and time spent in these countries, her Italian and Japanese are nearly perfect. Parker was expelled from St. Christina's following a prank on one of the nuns, and was removed from the school when her father learned of her relationship with older seminary student Giusseppe Verdani.
Parker was taken out of school, sent to art camp for part of the summer of 2005, and then enrolled in the first semester of Fandom High as a junior. Prior to that, she also worked as an intern at the Centre, where she met Broots, a teen-age computer whiz who also enrolled in Fandom High in Fall 2005. Parker treated Broots more as a minion or employee than an actual friend, although their relationship has improved over time in Fandom.

Unknown Elements

At this stage, we don't know the following things:

  • Who ordered the death of Catherine Parker
  • Who Parker's mother might have been working with, in rescuing children from the Centre
  • How Catherine Parker knew Jarod's parents

Where Canon and Parker go separate ways

The original series is set in 1996, with a 36-year-old Parker already pursuing escaped Pretender Jarod after his breakout from the Centre that year. At that time, they had not seen each other since some point in their teens.

Fandom High canon diverges sharply from this in November 2005, when Jarod was allowed to leave the Centre through the actions of Sydney Lavert, his mentor and teacher at the Centre. Sydney placed Jarod at Fandom both to hide him, and to allow him and Parker to rely on each other for mutual support. Jarod and Parker remained friends throughout their two-year separation, so none of the animosity of the series had time to develop before he arrived in Fandom.

Aside from all FH Pretender-based events being set approximately 29 years in the future from the original timeline, various revelations about Catherine Parker's murder have now been made twenty years earlier than they were in canon as well.

It has also been established in-game that Angelo is Parker's twin brother, who was stolen at birth and then subjected to electro-shock and other experiments at the age of ten by then-doctor William Raines, a researcher at the Centre. (All of which was established in canon, aside from the brother part). This possibility was contradicted in series canon, with another character revealed as her brother after some speculation and uncertainty. For plot purposes (and because it was never conclusively established beyond a shadow of a doubt on the show) the Pretender players decided that Angelo was a more likely candidate, and have established him as Parker's brother.

Living Arrangements

Room 234/236

Parker is one of the only students to have her own double-suite, because her father paid extra (enough to build a sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room) when she registered. Her pet rabbit Esmerelda Caramel (Esme), a gift from Zero Hopeless-Savage, resides in a bunny habitat in Room 236. Parker's bedroom and computer are in 234, with a connecting door to 236, which she uses as a private dance studio and movie-watching room, as well as an occasional party/club room. Parker's suite also comes with a private bathroom, and is one of the very few with a full-sized tub.

Pangolin Cabin

When the students are in residence in the summer camp cabins, Parker lives in the B-side of Pangolin, sharing it with Elizabeth Weir, Janet Fraiser and Temperance Brennan ; the A-side is occupied by Veruca Cally, Samuel Anders, Elizabeth 'Z' Delgado and Bridge Carson.

Relationships

Romantic relationships

Parker and Rob had a purely sexual relationship based on mutual lust, which fell apart when he became infatuated with her and told her so. Parker freaked out, Rob declared his love via the "Say Anything" method of boombox and rainy declarations, there was further yelling and humiliation, and then Rob very wisely left town.

Michael dated Parker in an attempt to gain information on the Centre, bugged her room, tapped her phone, hacked her computer, and was caught in an attempt at same by Zero. Zero told Janet and Jarod, they told Parker, and after acute embarassment, proof of Michael's activities was turned over to Dean Bristow. Michael was expelled and forced to work for Dean Bristow's compatriots at SD-6 and the CIA.

Parker immediately slept with Jack the evening of Michael's departure, and what was meant to be a one-time thing turned into an off-and-on sex buddies arrangement. Neither Parker nor Jack were seriously interested in each other, but they became very good friends while occasionally having sex over the next three months. Jack's disappearance for six weeks coincided with Parker's beginning an exclusive relationship with Jarod, although Jack had seen it coming earlier. When Jack returned, he was suffering from retrograde amnesia which covered his entire time in Fandom; having left himself a note to trust Parker, he went to her for help. Parker helped Jack find his feet again and reacquaint him in Fandom, and they became even better friends because of this.

Lee Adama and Parker had engaged in mutual flirtation for most of his time in Fandom. Lee's on-again off-again relationship with Kara Thrace kept it from developing into anything more until the School Play, when they were cast as Titania and Oberon. An evening of vodka and Shakespeare resulted in a bit of messing around, Lee re-thinking his relationship with Kara, and then some bitterness when Parker confessed to having fallen for Jarod. The two were possessed by Titania and Oberon during the play, when their relationship was *almost* consummated, and Lee left the planet shortly afterward.

Jarod and Parker's friendship became complicated in January, when Jarod was Marty Blank's accomplice during the bunny-napping of Esme. After the snow-monster incursion, Parker developed a crush on Jarod, at about the same time that Jarod's feelings were becoming more complex. After about seven weeks of UST, phone calls, and concern, they finally admitted their feelings for each other and became a couple in March. They became lovers in April, and dated exclusively throughout the summer and into September, when Jarod left for a month to find his family. Fights just prior to his departure, and a huge argument the night he left, contributed to their break-up. When he returned, the two were bitterly angry and combative for about two months, before both managed to miss each other enough to pick up their friendship again. Further speculation on their relationship is futile; calling it 'complicated' is probably as much explanation as anyone is going to get.

Eric Weiss and Parker became friends during his first semester at Fandom during Fall 2006, when Parker's relationship with Jarod was beginning to fall apart. They remained buddies, talking and drinking and commiserating, throughout the semester. Things between them intensified over Christmas Break, when they spent time together in Los Angeles; and a New Year's kiss prompted Parker to pursue something more. The pair became lovers on Weiss's 17th birthday, and dated exclusively throughout the remainder of his time in Fandom. They remain good friends, with Parker calling Weiss and vice versa.

Friendships, Fall 2005

Parker got to know Xander Harris, Alex Krycek, and D'anna Biers after Logan Echolls used the Ethics course to blackmail her into working together with them on a Journalism project, during which time she had her first ulcer attack, which landed her in the Fandom High clinic. She quizzed Xander about Angelus' history, which later lead to her inviting him to join the Investigator's Club.

Friendships, Spring 2006

Xander sent a drunkenly-misdirected e-mail to Parker revealing that having to kiss other guys in a Spin The Bottle game had been awful mostly because he was trying so hard not to like it. They got to be better friends during the Spring Break Trip in England, and having to co-star opposite each other in the School Play, A Midsummer Night's Dream as Bottom and Titania. After his departure from Fandom in Fall 2006, Parker continued to call his defunct voicemail in order to vent regarding issues and events she didn't wish to discuss with anyone still in Fandom.

Adventures

Operation Manchurian Candidate

John Crichton and Parker didn't exactly hit it off when they met; after an exchange of taunts, insults, a ruined pair of shoes, a letter to his father, and an ill-considered poster, Parker punched him in the nose and decided that she had to get revenge on him for his attitude. She enlisted most of the junior-class girls in assisting her in drugging and kidnapping John and switching him with Cameron Mitchell, who was hypnotized by Drusilla into believing he was John for the rest of the weekend. John spent most of Saturday trying to convince people he was who he said he was. Further illusions and body-switching accomplished at the time are too confusing to go into. The hypnotic suggestion wore off on its own, although Crichton and Mitchell were both left with lingering effects.

Zombie Weekend

Parker had just come back from a trip through Locker 327 to Cheyenne Mountain, and arrived in the middle of town outside Championship Records. She and Rob Gordon took shelter in the local police station, had sex there, then continued on to the school, helping fight the zombies in the Library.

Hathor

When the Goa'uld Hathor arrived in Fandom and possessed Janet Fraiser, Parker was recruited by Samantha Carter in order to find female students willing to seduce and take out those male students and teachers who were under the control of her pheromones, prior to Hathor's capture by Carter and Jack O'Neill. Parker knocked out Coach Ashley Williams and with the assistance of Rogue, did the same thing to Dr. Gil Grissom. Grissom was nice enough to send her a lollipop bouquet as a thank-you gift.

Homecoming

Parker went to Homecoming (dressed as Sheila E.) with her then-boyfriend Michael Samuelle, while under the influence of Drusilla to be 'nice.' She spent the entire dance laughing, singing, paying compliments, and generally acting stoned out of her mind. She was very unhappy about this the day after Homecoming.

Souling Angelus

(AKA the Big Damn Plot) At the instigation of Marty Blank, Parker began seriously researching the Soul Curse to turn Angelus into Angel (a move she'd already been attempting, but hadn't had much success at, until Marty gave her access to Phale's Bookstore). Parker eventually, after a tip from Marty, managed to find the curse inside a book at the store, and gave it to Tara Maclay after Angela convinced the Ethics teacher to cast the curse, in order to protect the student body. (By that time, it was known that Angelus had killed Kitty Pryde after the girl attempted to protect Marty from an attack by the vampire.) It was not known that the night of the curse-casting was also the night that a fugitive Angelus chose to attack Logan Echolls and Rory Gilmore. The casting of the curse saved both their lives, aided by quick thinking from Alex Krycek and Jake Gavin, who got Rory to the clinic, and Xander Harris, who did the same for Logan, when he attempted to track down Angelus. Angela, Tara, Parker, Shane McCoy, and Marty met with Mr. Phale and Crowly at Phale's bookshop, and Tara cast the curse there-- while Marty got into a fistfight with Drusilla that revealed her identity as a vampire, and Crowly fought Belthazor, as Phale provided extra aid to Tara in casting the curse. That Parker had something to do with the curse-casting is generally believed, but the details and her exact participation are not known outside those directly effected by what happened that night.

The Heist

Parker participated in the event known as the Heist, which gathered a group of students under the direction of Number Six together to steal the X-Box from the Teachers' Lounge. Her codename was Control. Parker retained possession of the X-Box, which had begun to think for itself thanks to the intervention of Dr. Samantha Carter, re-named it Boxey, and occasionally still plays on it, even though it can't stop critiquing anyone who plays it. Its favorite game is Indy500 Speedway.

Snow Weekend

Snow monsters attacked in January. An old foe of the Tick's came to Fandom to cause mayhem, and snow sharks, snow tentacle-beasts, and deadly snowmen all attacked the town and school. Parker was injured at Logan Echoll's house by a tentacle monster which sprained her ankle and gave her a minor concussion. Jarod treated her for her injuries at the time, which lead to the first change in their relationship from friends to 'other.'

Study Group, aka, Vampire Hunt

Essentially, Angel grew sick of Darla and Dru menacing his friends in Fandom, and after attacks on Rory Gilmore and various others, Aeryn, Anakin, Cam and others were all upset too. Two strike teams, of Parker, Anakin, Aeryn, Molly, Logan, Alanna, Angel, Cam, Callisto and others, were sent out; all minion vamps were dusted, but both Dru and Darla escaped. Marty fought Bel in an effort to keep him from coming to the vampires' aid. Callisto, Logan, Angel and Alanna were injured (only Callisto seriously) and a huge network of support (including Rory, Xander, Janet, Sam Carter, Cordy Chase, Angela) was employed to give them alibis and look after them when they got back. (If this entry is missing any definite participants, please inform the webmaster).

Spring Break 2006

As one of the Student Council organizers of the spring break trip to England, Parker helped book accomodations and arranged transportation via the Knight Bus to London. She was also one of the organizers of the scavenger hunt for information and ingredients for a cure for Angel's poisoning by Darla while there. A trip to Diagon Alley to buy ingredients included her temporary transformation into a miniature giraffe by Severus Snape. She, Rory, and Zero also trespassed at Stonehenge, pretending Rory was a blind girl who had wandered off.

School Play, A Midsummer Night's Dream

Parker was cast as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream opposite Lee Adama as Oberon and Xander Harris as Nick Bottom. Parker and Lee's unresolved sexual tension was resolved during a private rehearsal of their roles, which lead to an awkward break in their friendship. During the play, Parker was possessed by the actual Titania, Queen of the Fairies, and nearly had sex with Lee while he was possessed by Oberon. She also learned that Titania and Dream had been lovers in the past, that his son had recently died, and that Titania believed this was a direct cause of his death in the near future. She bargained for Titania's departure without taking any hostages in return for not revealing these future events to Dream. Titania's confrontation with Jarod while in Parker's body was a factor in their beginning a romantic relationship later that week.

Blue Cove/Maine Trip

After Jarod received digital archive footage proving that her mother's death was not a suicide, Parker was determined to find more answers to the questions surrounding Catherine Parker's death. A trip to Blue Cove and her family's summer home with Rory, Zero, Bridge, Angela and Jarod led to the discovery of photos and papers pointing to Lake Catherine, Maine (made easier by Bridge's psychic abilities and clues given to Parker by Nadia Santos). Jarod flew the jet that Zero contracted for, and the group visited the Miller Bed & Breakfast located on the shores of the lake. Catherine Parker had left several envelopes of original and falsified documents in her usual hotel room there, indicating that she had been smuggling children out of the Centre, or diverting them from ever being found by them in the first place.

Other DSA's and a photo of Catherine, Parker, and Ben Miller when Parker was only three months old, were also found. Parker has her suspicions about Ben Miller's relationship with her mother, but is extremely wary of investigating that angle any further.

Prom

Parker went to the prom with Jarod, and had a great time, despite the previous week's stress of organizing the decorations as a member of StuCo. She also helped Janet Fraiser, Samantha Carter, and Elizabeth Weir dunk Dr. Daniel Jackson in the pond on her way home, before dancing under a streetlight and adjourning elsewhere with Jarod.

Weetiny Weekend

Like most of the student body, Parker was de-aged over what has come to be known as Weetiny Weekend. She reverted to the physical and mental age of a four-and-a-half-year-old girl. She also trashed Cafe Fina in a food-fight with nine-at-the-time Anakin Skywalker, acted as bridesmaid to the mass weddings, and camped out in a tent with Alanna Trebond.

Book Plague

During the week of the plagues caused by Rory reading aloud from a copy of book of ancient Egyptian, Parker endured a Thursday full of hallucinations and nightmares of her friends being captured and killed by the Centre. She participated in the mummy hunt that followed, helping kill one mummy, and garnering scrapes and bruises from a flying Charlie Kawalsky near the end of the fight with the King Mummy.

Teal Dear

Parker is the manager agent for Teal Dear, a punk-fusion band founded by Zero Hopeless-Savage (Yasutora Sado - bass, Nadia Santos - guitar and vocals, Agnes Nitt - back-up vocals, Pippi Longstocking - drums). They have a bi-weekly contract at Caritas and have performed off the Island, in Baltimore (where they were arrested for bar brawling; the arrest that followed was not their fault, and all charges were dropped), West Virginia (when the van, Dave, broke down on the way home, and the band met Taily-po and Bigfoot while trying to fix it) and the Alexandria GenCon (where they also recorded their CD and started rumors of various new scifi series).

Parker's Ulcer

Parker's first ulcer attack was in early October 2005. Dr. James Wilson diagnosed it as induced by stress, and caffiene and NSAIDS abuse. Parker was told to quit smoking, drinking, and drinking coffee. Two weeks later, her stress levels climbed during the "Say Yes to Vampires" campaign, and she wound up in the clinic undergoing minor surgery to fix her ulcers. Since then she has (by and large) given up smoking, drinks very rarely, and does not abuse NSAIDs any longer. She also took up meditation (although this was more as a form of telepathic self-defense, than for calming her stress levels). Parker remains susceptible to ulcers (as in canon) and must avoid circumstances that would conspire to set off a major attack.

Jack O'Neill nicknamed her ulcer "Raindrop" at one point prior to Parker's first ulcer attack.

Muahaha

Following her break-up with Jarod at the beginning of October of her senior year (2006), Parker threw herself into several activities both as a way to distract herself and in reaction to the break-up: managing Teal Dear; Fencing, Damn the Man, and Gun Club; her school work; and investigating the death of her mother.

To that end, she is carrying on an investigation into the workings of the Centre in secret opposition to her father's wishes. (All posts tagged 'muahaha' relate to her investigation and attempts to undermine the corporate structure of the Centre.)

In January 2006, Parker, Eric Weiss, and Jack broke into the Centre and removed proof that Catherine Parker's death was contracted by the Centre to a Cleaner named Rumor. In March 2006, Parker, Weiss, Jack, Isabel and Cedric broke into an information Annex in New Hampshire that lead to information proving that 'Rumor' was a woman named Brigitte. Parker later attempted to kill Brigitte in Baltimore, but was stopped by Weiss before she confronted her. After Angelo spilled the beans to Jarod, Jarod insisted on running a Pretend on Brigitte, with Jack Harkness's help, that resulted in a taped confession which put the woman on the run.

Parker's attempts to undermine the Centre are ongoing.

Post-Fandom

Parker graduated from Fandom High on May 5, 2007, and spent the summer in Moscow, Rome, L.A., Vermont and Black Rock, Nevada. She acquired more contacts to combat the Centre while spending time in Moscow, captured an art thief by accident in Rome, protested the Emmys with Zero and her roommate while staying in L.A., attended the Burning Man festival at the end of August, visited Angel and Logan in their Los Angeles, and hooked up with Ronan Nolan jr at Homecoming 2007.

She is now attending St. John's College, Oxford University in England, with a double emphasis on Chinese and Economics. She rooms with Stella Dorsey, Nourhane Khalid, and Allison Selinger.

Jarod paid a visit during Thanksgiving.
