Background

John Crichton comes to Fandom High explicitly pre-canon. He's never been to the Uncharted Territories, never seen a wormhole, never had his brain turned to jello. What he does have is a interest in the sciences (specifically physics and astrophysics) and space.

His father's an astronaut who isn't around for a lot of John's childhood and that often leads to tension and resentment on both ends. John's resentment mostly comes from watching his mother worry about the unpredictable fate of their father.

Where Canon and John go separate ways

John isn't canon!John as of yet though canonical things have been foreshadowed (wormholes, mental torture).

Living Arrangements

John's previous roommate left fairly early in a random disappearance.

On the night of November 18, 2005 (aka Bitey-souly Friday), John's roommate situation would change forever. That was the night that Angel, who'd just acquired a soul, showed up injured at his door. John took him, let him recuperate in room 238 and, once Angel was recovered, offered him the other bed in room 238. Angel accepted and they were roommates all of last year.

This year, John has another roommate. Sort of. Aeryn Sun, John's girlfriend, often spends most of her time in room 238 with him.

During the summer session, John was in the Stickbug cabin. He shared one side with Peter Parker, Greg Sanders, and Charlie Kawalsky. The other side of the cabin was occupied by Cameron Mitchell, Jamie Madrox, and Peter Pevensie.

Relationships

John's most important relationship is with his girlfriend, Aeryn Sun. They celebrated their one year anniversary on August 13, 2006. John's recently started talking more seriously about the future with Aeryn and has gone so far as to get her a committment ring for Christmas and asked her to live with him when he goes off to college in a year.

During the early part of his relationship with Aeryn, John also kissed : Lee Adama, Angel (Character), and Callisto. He's since learned that his lips belong to Aeryn Sun exclusively.

John's closest friends include : Cameron Mitchell, Rory Gilmore, Peter Parker, Greg Sanders, Lee Adama, and Anakin Skywalker. These are the people he'll often be the silliest with and who he'll also confide in when he needs someone to talk to.

John has antagonistic relationships with both M. Parker and Callisto. He likes to annoy, they like to get mad. Fun times.

Last year, John had a "little brother" in Togusa and, this year, has a "little sister" in Matilda Wormwood.

Classes

Other

John held the position of TA for Ted "Theodore" Logan during the first semester of spring and then was Ted "Theodore" Logan's co-TA when he held the position with Bridge Carson.

John was also a member of the Investigators Club due to his involvement with Angel. He was also a member of the Fandom High Basketball Team.

Adventures

Strip Triad and the Christmas Pageant

One night, John, Bridge Carson, Veruca Cally, Samuel Anders, and Callisto all decided to play a game of strip triad...in a public common room. They were, of course, caught by former principal Jack Bristow and were given a rather unusual punishment. Acting. John was assigned the role of Little Wooden Drummer Boy with a costume designed by The Tick. The Christmas Pageant took place on December 9, 2005 and went on with many many hitches.

Rita Skeeter's Classes

Rita Skeeter and John Crichton have a very special relationship. She hates him and he likes to annoy her. Thus, their weekly routine became : John annoys Rita in class, Rita gets angry, Rita turns John into whatever animal she deems.

Dangershop Robots

Last year, John took a shop class taught by Angus MacGyver. During one class, the AI in the danger shop went wacky and robots came to life. During this time, John held Xander's hand to make them a united front, wore Pippi Longstocking's boots after throwing his own shoes at the robots and helped get Nadia Santos to safety.

Aeryn's Departure and Return

On February 15, 2006, Aeryn Sun left Fandom High for, what both she and John thought, would be forever. She was recalled to the Peacekeepers and they broke up the night before amid tears, confessions of love and John begging her to stay.

Aeryn did return but her reunion with John was less than happy.

Wee Weekend

Through some stroke of Fandom High oddness, John (along with many other people) regressed to children one weekend. John and Aeryn woke up together as wee children. John proceeded to read to Aeryn and then took her on an elevator ride. Later, John proposed to wee!Aeryn and they were "married" by Benton Fraser and Zoe Washburn.

Scorpy Chip

During VillainCon weekend, John met his future nemesis, Scorpius. Scorpius, being the bastard that he is, decided it would be fun to chip John. Basically, he implanted a clone of his himself into John's brain and thus, nearly drove John crazy. John named said clone Umberto. For awhile, John and Aeryn just thought he was going insane until Bridge Carson scanned John and revealed that there was something in his head that wasn't supposed to be there. Now knowing what they were dealing with, Aeryn enlisted the help of Isabel Evans to dreamwalk John. Isabel and Aeryn went into John's head and helped John get control of his mind back from Scorpius.

Recently, the chip in John's head has started exerting more control over him again. He's been prone to headaches and nightmares that often make him cranky and irritable. Only Aeryn Sun and Angel know of this new development.
