Background
Where Canon and Mac go separate ways
She comes directly from the end of season one in canon. She never met Cassidy Casablancas, and has saved herself years of therapy in the process.
In Fandom
In general Mac is a fairly laid back, geeky and sometimes overly chatty girl – especially when she's had a lot of caffeine and is on a topic she likes. Also? She has an innate ability to go off on complete tangents. She has a coffee addiction, loves her laptop, and she makes a lot of vegan cookies which she gives away freely.
Mac is pretty easy to get on with, except if you're a moron in which case she can snark with the best of them. She has a pretty low tolerance for dumb people.
Living Arrangements
Mac lives in room #411 in the dorms. During the spring semester and over the summer her roommate was Sydney Bristow II, but she now lives there alone.
Relationships
Mac got on very well with her old roommate Sydney Bristow II, and also Isobel Stevens who sometimes baked cookies with her, both have now left Fandom. She is of course friends with Veronica Mars, and they still correspond by email now that Veronica has graduated.
She really likes her neighbours Blair Sandburg and J.C. Broots, and thinks Broots is especially awesome for sharing her love of computers. She shares an addiction to coffee with Jake Gavin. She also has new found friends in Lavender Brown and Eric Weiss.
She discovered recently that she does not like Pete Hutter. He pokes technology.
Mac is currently dating Veruca Cally, to say she's happy about that would probably be an understatement.

Mac is the TA for Abby Scutio’s Internet for Dummies class, and she loves it. She also thinks Abby is extremely cool. She helps Jake Gavin to run the CAS (Coffee Appreciation Society), and their faculty advisor for this is Lorelai Gilmore-Danes.
Adventures
Snowmonster Attack: Mac was a pacifist along with Blair Sandburg, and helped to pile furniture against doors and windows to keep the school safe. A very appropriate welcome to her new school.
London Trip: A small group of students took a school trip to London. Mac and Pippi Longstocking found strange people at Stonehenge, and she went shopping with Nadia Santos – who had turned into a boy and called herself Nate. Then Angel became ill back in Fandom, and the group helped with research.
Wacky Powers Plot: She gained a strange and unexplainable talent of turning paper into tortillas for several days. This was due to a spell done by Logan Echolls gone awry. She accidentally turned one of her Chemistry text books into Mexican food, and almost got malleted by Zero Hopeless-Savage.
Weetiny Weekend: When Mac and half the student body were transformed into young children she became five years old. She spent most of her morning bothering Luke Danes in his Diner, and then met a normal aged JC Broots and made friends with Charlie Kawalsky when they did colouring together.
