Background

Brooke is from Tree Hill, a smallish town in North Carolina. The only child of wealthy parents, Brooke was left to her own devices while her parents did anything but pay attention to her. With access to money and no parental supervision, she had absolutely no problem with playing the part of a party girl, and was really good at it. She's everything a cheerleader stereotype should be, reputation included, which was perfectly fine by her.

Her junior year, she fell in with Lucas Scott, who she chased pretty relentlessly until she finally got him to date her. While Brooke was happy having him and really cared about him, she was concerned that she was only there for fun, while he actually had an emotional connection with her best friend Peyton Sawyer. And then while he recovered from injuries sustained in a car accident, he dumped her, only for her to find out that he'd in fact cheated with Peyton. While Brooke eventually repaired her friendships with both of them, she wasn't willing to get her heart broken again, instead focusing on the friends with benefits side of things. That was when she took up with Felix, who convinced her to be his girlfriend, occasionally lied and had her second-guessing everything, and basically proved to be a huge disappointment who decided to act like a 10-year-old towards Peyton and got dumped for it.

Where Canon and Brooke go separate ways

In season two, Brooke's parents fall into financial trouble and have to sell off their possessions. Eventually her father took a job in California, leaving Brooke to live with Lucas and his mother Karen to finish out her junior year before she moved into her own apartment senior year. Instead, her father got a job nearby in Virginia, and while Brooke couldn't talk her way into staying in Tree Hill, they thought it was better that she not live at home, and instead go to a nearby boarding school they could afford.

Living Arrangements

Brooke lived in 512 with her roommate Michael Guerin, but wanting her own place where she could bring boys home had her moving into 221 on her own by the end of spring 2008. This only worked until she got a roommate in Harvey Dent, but he's hot so she'll let it slide.

Relationships

Her most notable relationship is the one she has with Lucas Scott. He's a different version than the one she knows, from a point six months earlier when he'd broken up with Brooke and left town. Though Brooke in her time has gotten over Lucas' betrayal, they're at different points in their relationship, and she's made it a point a couple times just to remind him she knows more than him. And yet she's still a little jealous. Fall 2008 also brought the appearance of Peyton Sawyer, though from a different timeline, though she and Brooke are still best friends.

While Brooke mostly gets along with everyone she's met so far, she loves her big brother Yasutora Sado, and her one night stand with Romeo Montague turned into an actual friendship. She also had a completely successful friends with benefits relationship with Peter Petrelli, which ended when he started dating Sam Winchester. This probably makes it creepy that Brooke likes to flirt with Peter's double, Jess Mariano.

Other

As of March 2008, Brooke made the cheerleading squad, where she attempted to cheer Nazi that, too. She became co-captain with Savannah Levine and Yasutora Sado in the fall of 2008. She designed a line of clothing for a cheerleading fashion show under her own label, Clothes Over Bro's, which turned out to be a success, and she uses it as her own personal business now.

Adventures

AU Weekend 2008
On AU weekend, Brooke woke up thinking she was a blonde anorexic cheerleader named Brooke McQueen. She mostly stayed to herself, though she was not happy to find out the room wasn't hers. She was even less happy to find out that her double, Jaina Solo, spent the weekend as her, and had more fun.

Weeping Angels
When people began disappearing into the past, Brooke promptly freaked out and hid in her room.

Weetiny Weekend 2008
At that time of year again, Brooke turned into a five-year-old version of herself. She talked about fighting things with Romeo and Sky Tate, and played tag with Ino Yamanaka, who invited her to a sleepover at Annette Hargrove's room. She also got into her own makeup and shared with Lana Lang and Isabel Evans, and played tag with Marco Conrad in polar bear form.

Lady Looks Like a Dude Day 2008
While most of the girls on the island changed into boys, Brooke was very happy to keep her girl parts. And took the opportunity to hook up with Jennifer Sparks while she was a boy. She didn't know who it was in girl form and never wants to.

Genderswap Day
Brooke turned into a boy, though she was a hot boy so she didn't care.

Soap Opera Weekend
Brooke woke up believing that she was the twin sister of Jaina Solo, and also that she had turned to the convent after a heroin addiction forced her to give up her drug-addicted baby. She decided to give up the nunnery, and promptly was diagnosed with a rare tropical disease. Jealous of Brooke's life, Jaina tried to smother her with a pillow in the clinic, which sent her into a coma, and stole her identity. Brooke awoke in time to stop Jaina's wedding to [[John Sheppard (II)|John Sheppard) and revealed her to be an attempted murderess, then fought her in the duck pond. During the fight she also was cured of her amnesia, and remembered that she was in fact Jaina's mother. Somehow.
