Books
The Jade Flower
The legendary ninja Jade Flower seeks the pirate Barjossakin, who she believes killed her brother. Little does she know she will not find vengeance, but true love. Contains the hammock sex referred on various occasions (page 119 - commented Jack Harkness: "Possible, if they're telepaths, or know each other really well.")
The Amethyst Flower
Amethyst Flower (Ammy for short), the daughter of Barjossakin and Jade, has found love with Running Wolf MacGregor, the son of a Scottish clan chieftain and a Seminole princess. However, the family curse (he's a werewolf, shhhh) and an evil sheikh who seeks Ammy for his own threaten their love. Takes place in the Caribbean, Scotland, and Arabia.
The Pearl Blade
Shining Red Fox MacGregor, Running Wolf's sister, is the most beautiful woman in the world. She is kidnapped by Diego Tang, the mercenary known as the Pearl Blade on behalf of the evil sheikh, but they fall in love. The evil sheikh meets his end when he crosses Ammy again. Running Wolf's infidelity is discovered and Ammy puts him out of her misery.
Excerpts from The Pearl Blade
(Comment from Callisto: "Make sure she mentions that the act on page 184 of Pearl Blade is impossible without one or both partner's spines being made of rubber. We tried, it didn't work.")
Storms of Silver
Ammy, newly independent, takes her daughter Sapphire Flower (Sapphy) pirating with her. After raiding a particular plantation, her ship, the Siren Song, is damaged by a storm, and Ammy is tossed overboard. The plantation owner (Byron, Lord Sheffield Godalming Brown (he goes by Bud) a handsome nobleman banished from the English court after his affair with the king went awry) finds her washed up on the beach and, struck by her beauty (and kind of hoping to get back the jewel box her daughter took), nurses her back to health. They fall in love. Ammy thinks the bisexuality thing is hot.
"Back to the ship, men!" the woman in velvet breeches announced after she finished tying up Byron, Lord Sheffield Godalming Brown with his own curtains.
"Mummy," cried a little girl with a kerchief on her head as she rode up on the back of a...grizzly bear. Yes, it was a grizzly bear. "Look, I found rocks!"
"Oh, good, Sapphy, you found the jewelry stash. Back to the ship!"
Star Sapphire
While Sapphire Flower MacGregor, a geologist, is investigating the rocks used in Olmec temples in Central America (and pocketing the shiny ones because hey, quarter-pirate), she catches the eye of Erique LePapillon, who is spying on the local Spanish government. She confronts him and learns that he, like herself, is a quarter ninja. Erique is a third-generation spy, and is working for the French of San Domingue so his ninja grandmother can at last gain citizenship. Their relationship begins to blossom, but they are torn apart by civil unrest in the area. Despondent, Sapphy returns home, where Erique tracks her down, and their ninja grandmothers (who were roommates at ninja school) are reunited after all this time.
In a side note, it is revealed that Diego Tang is a transvestite, and Fox is kind of tired of him borrowing her petticoats.
Crown Diamond
The tale of Erique's parents, who met while spying for the French at the court of the king of Spain (she was a serving girl, he was a fake nobleman) and, through confusion, kept getting in each other's way before finding true love in one another's arms. Thrill as Clive DePapillon and Usagi race to uncover the hidden plot and hide and make out in many unlikely places!
Ruby Heart
From the blurb on the back:
"Aaliyah, Barbary pirate and beautiful illegitimate sister of the evil Sheikh, met the man of her dreams, Hiro, while protecting her latest acquisition in Singapore. They were set to live happily ever after on the Ruby Queen, when tragedy intervened. After being swept off her ship in a storm, an amnesiac Aaliyah was returned to her only family, her illegitimate half-brother-- who saw a chance for vengeance on the woman who had made a fool of him when he realized Hiro was Amethyst Flower's cousin (on the ninja side).
Can Hiro thwart Aaliyah's misguided vendetta? Will she ever get her memory back? Hey, how can the evil Sheikh still be alive? Read and find out!"
Contains some really improbable sex-in-a-crow's-nest-at-midnight.
